Bwindi Forest National Park is home to the highest percentage of Uganda’s mountain gorillas. Tourists who visit this protected area have access to over nineteen fully habituated gorilla families. But, for the conservation program you visit only one gorilla family and if you want to do multiple gorilla trek you will have to visit various families but of consecutive various days.
These groups inhabit the four sectors of the park named Nkuringo, Ruhija, Rushaga, and Buhoma. Mgahinga has only one group (Nyakagezi) that is available for trekking expeditions.
